Misfits

Misfits is a perpetually ongoing collection consisting of atypical creatures, compositions, people, etc...  all of which find their origin in nature. They are always painted on a different location in nature. To do this, I always set out with nothing more than a sketchbook, some watercolor paints and a folding chair.

A branch, tree trunk, blade of grass or the shape of a leaf are often the basis for very peculiar compositions in which I stop thinking and let my hand be guided only by the wind and the energy that nature gives me at that moment.
